With so many options available to instructors via myitlab, it can be overwhelming to consider them all at once. So what I’ve tried to do is put together a series of shortcuts for referencing how to get things done in a timely manner. This time around, let’s take a look at the Course Content section, which lets you manage your assets quickly and easily – provided, of couse, you know what tab to access when.
Add Content from Library – displays the split view consisting of both the Content Library and My Course screens. It’s also the easiest way to add selected content from the Content Library to My Course.
Organize Content – this gives you an advanced view of My Course. Use it to create notes and customize content for your students.
Assign Content – here, you’ll see a split view of My Course and Calendar. You can also assign content items to a specific date in the Calendar.
Organize Calendar – also displaying a split view of Calendar and My Course, this tab gives you the best way to keep track of your assignments. You can view assignments that have due dates here, set their order, and move them around from one date to another.
Manage Question Library – the title here pretty much says it all. This tab shows you the Question Library, so you can manage questions used in your course.
It’s easy to get lost in your options, but if you break things down bit by bit, you’ll find yourself more out of MyITLab each and every day.
